This is the first decision most new customers get stuck on. Start by checking whether you can place the order yourself.
You can pay on the Korean store yourself
If your card or payment method works, forwarding is usually the simplest option. Ship to your boxcu warehouse address, then let us handle the international leg.

If the store needs a Korean card, bank transfer, or phone verification, use proxy buying instead. Send us the product link and options, and boxcu orders it for you.

Direct orders and proxy-buy orders can both be gathered in the warehouse and shipped together. This is the most efficient route when you want to save on shipping.
Consolidation available- If you can order directly, start with forwarding.
- If placing the order itself is difficult, choose proxy buying.
- If you plan to combine items from multiple stores, include storage and consolidation in your plan.

Combine packages from multiple stores into one box and save significantly on international shipping.

✅What to check before you request international shipping
Most forwarding mistakes happen at the dispatch stage, not the order stage. Review these items first to avoid customs issues and surprise shipping costs.
Check whether the item is restricted
Battery-powered items, liquids, sprays, food, and perfume may be limited depending on the carrier and destination country. Review eligibility before dispatch.

Optional- Shipping is finalized after consolidation and measurement, not when you place the original store order.

⚖️Typical product weights — estimate your shipping budget before you order
International shipping costs vary significantly by weight. The table below shows average weights for the categories most commonly handled through boxcu. Exact costs are confirmed after consolidation and measurement, but these figures let you plan ahead.
Actual weight vs. volumetric weight
Express carriers bill by whichever is greater: actual weight, or volumetric weight (L×W×H÷5000). Light but bulky items (lightsticks, padded boxes) often trigger the volumetric rate.

The figures below are for the product itself. Consolidated box and cushioning (bubble wrap, paper) typically add 200–500 g. A larger box also increases volumetric weight.
