Know customs & taxes in advance

Duty-free thresholds and tax rules for major destinations.

Basic principles
  • Import duties and taxes are paid by the recipient.

  • Duty-free thresholds differ by country and item, and change often.
  • Customs may contact the recipient for documents during clearance.
